So there are THREE wires which must be intact: (1) Chassis Ground (Brown wire), (2) signal wire from Switch to JBE (Grey/Yellow), & (3) Signal wire from JBE to Latch (Grey/Brown). 1) checking function of EVERYTHING on the Tailgate: Lights (including tag lights), Rear Window unlock button, Wiper, etc. If you identify MORE than just the Tailgate

Mine is E91 (wagon/estate) and the quarter window is bonded in with sealant whereas I think the E90/saloon one just bolts in & out. I 'think' I have it figured though maybe now.
